Ophiuchus is a vast constellation found in the Milky Way, which guarantees many interesting objects. It's located just above Scorpius.

Seven Messier deep sky objects are found in Ophiuchus; we visit all of them as well as a non-Messier cluster. The constellation is also home to an excellent array of binary stars.

Ophiuchus, the Serpent Holder, grasps the serpent in his hands. Thus a simultaneous study of Serpens is suggested.
