| NGC 3372 is a diffuse nebulae seen (even with the naked eye) as a bright spot on the Milky Way enveloping the
enigmatic star eta Carinae. The nebula is a splendid object for binoculars.
The light which illuminates the nebula comes from the 'baby' stars which have been recently born in the nebula. The nebula is about 9000 light years away. In the same field of vision is the bright open cluster NGC 3532: binoculars. |
