M46 (NGC 2437) and M47 (NGC 2422)

M46 and M47 are found nine degrees north of M93: binoculars.

The two are seen in the same field of view, and they are quite different: M46 is much richer with about 150 stars, all quite faint. M47 has fewer stars, about fifty in all, but they are much brighter.

Two binaries are found in M47: Struve 1120 (6, 9.5, 35º, 20") and Struve 1121 (7, 7.5; 304º, 7.4")
