The easiest way to start investigating Lepus is to start from Orion. With Rigel (beta Orionis) centred in your glasses drop due south one binocular field where you will encounter the 3.3 magnitude star mu Leporis.

It is suggested that you click on mu Leporis first.

Then click on alpha, h3780, gamma, or R Leporis.
