α Gruis

Alpha Gruis is called Alnair, meaning ‘The Bright One’, which actually refers to the Fish's Tail, which shows that the star was once part of Piscis Austrinus.

Having found beta Gruis four binocular fields south of Fomalhaut, move one field west: binoculars.

Move northeast one binocular field to find the pleasant optical binary delta Gruis. Click on delta to continuie.
