Grus, The Crane, is a late Winter constellation in the Southern Hemisphere.

Finding this fairly faint constellation could prove difficult. The best way might be to start at alpha PsA (Fomalhaut) a dominant star south of Aquarius. Centre Fomalhaut in your glasses then move south about four binocular views and you'll find beta Gruis. Directly west of beta is alpha.

Grus has a number of pleasant binaries.
