Alpha Fornacis is a visual binary with an orbit of 314 years, although the separation (5") is a bit too close for binoculars.

The star is encircled by Eridanus, and is best found by dropping due south from tau⁴ Eridani about eight degrees (just over one binocular field of view): binoculars.
