δ Corvi

Delta Corvi forms the northeast corner of the squarish asterism, with gamma the northwest corner: binoculars. (Eta, the third star in the field of view, is a fainter 4.3 magnitude.)

Delta is a fixed binary with a fairly faint but wide companion: 2.9, 9.2; 214, 24". The binary has a pleasant colour contrast, a white primary and lilac companion.

Finally, one binocular field northeast will bring you to a splendid telescopic double, and a neighbouring Messier object: binoculars.

Struve 1669 is a fine pair of nearly equal stars: 5.2, 5.9; 314, 5.2".

The 'Sombrero Galaxy' (M104) is just over the border into Virgo. Consult Virgo for details on this galaxy.
