Zeta Aquarii is the central star of the Water Jar, tipped on its side.

The asterism is just to the east of alpha Aquarii: binoculars

The two stars zeta² and zeta¹ form a well-known telescopic double (zeta² being the brighter).
      Struve 2909: 4.3, 4.5; 166º, 2.3" with an orbit of 856 years.

Eta, in the same field as zeta, is the region of the meteor showers every May fifth, which produce about 40 meteors per hour.
